Peter V. Brett’s The Warded Man, published in the UK as The Painted Man, is the best fantasy debut I’ve read since Patrick Rothfuss’s. This book had me reading well into the night, and it is, to use a very hackneyed phrase, a real page-turner. Read the rest.
