Meridian by Amber Kizer
horrible cover

great review
The cover is way more goth than the book. I mean, yeah, there’s plenty of death in the book, but also a really sweet aunt who makes quilts and the world’s best mac and cheese.
And Meridian’s hair is not black, but dyed fire-engine red!
