What I like about you facts would be a) you have a genre called cyberpunk. b) you wrote lyrics to some soundtracks – that, I think, can sometimes take a lot more skill than books. Thanks for this, because it helped me get to know him better and it makes me want to read more of his books.

Your Bleak History giveaway contest piqued my interest. As I researched the author, John Shirley, I was intrigued to find he has many varied interests and talents. His lyrics in his PUNK music fortell of dark stories and otherworldly sounds as does his writings. His article on ‘Ten Things I Hate about Television’ are noteworthy and should strike a chord with everyone. Besides his novels, and collections he was the First writer in the screenplay ‘The Crow’. I will look forward to reading his novel Bleak History.

Bleak History looks like an interesting read. The character on the cover reminds me of the dude from the TV show Jericho…you know the one.
