Toni Andrews fantasy authorToni Lea Andrews was born in Hartford, Connecticut. The child of older parents, she became a “snow bird” when they retired while she was still in first grade. She graduated from high school near their retirement community in Stuart, Florida and then spent a year in Kentucky before returning to finish college in Connecticut. While working as a traveling salesperson a few years later, Toni fell in love with the beach-front town of Balboa, California and quit her job in order to move there. She stayed for fifteen years before her career as a business analyst took her to Miami. Now writing full time, Toni is back in New England, living in the tiny lakeside cottage where she spent summers as a child. Beg for Mercy: Fooled again.

Beg for Mercy by Toni Andrews

Toni Andrews' Beg for Mercy is a romance novel, basically, and it has a little paranormal stuff thrown in to make it different from the thousands of other romance novels out there.

Mercy Hollings is an embittered, unknowingly beautiful, powerful paranormal who is so cliché that you have already read about her if you read paranormal urban fantasy.

Toni Andrews is a good writer, but Beg for Mercy is definitely a romance novel — not for me.

But if you like paranormal romance, try Beg for Mercy. If not, skip it and read Patricia Briggs or Kim Harrison who write paranormal urban... Read More
