L.E. Modesitt Jr.: I’ve just turned in the last novel about Quaeryt (Rex Regis) in that subseries of THE IMAGER PORTFOLIO, which will make five books about him — Scholar, Princeps, Imager’s Battalion (release date of January 22nd), Antiagon Fire (release scheduled for July 2013), and, of course, Rex Regis (not yet scheduled). Also, I’ve got a stand-alone SF novel — The One-Eyed Man — coming out a year from now.fantasy book reviews science fiction book reviews

Danielle Ackley-McPhail: For the first time ever, my science fiction short stories — many of them award-winners — can now be found in one solo collection. As of Thanksgiving weekend, A Legacy of Stars, by Danielle Ackley-McPhail, is available to the discerning reader. As a bonus, it includes two never-before-published stories and introductions from many of the names in the industry. And, in another bit of news, we were recently notified that In An Iron Cage: The Magic of Steampunk, edited by Danielle Ackley-McPhail, Elektra Hammond, and Neal Levin, was selected as a finalist for the 2013 EPIC Award for Best Anthology. Winners will be announced in March at the annual EPICon Writer’s Convention.

Bradley Beaulieu: I’ve put together a Kickstarter for a short story collection called Lest Our Passage Be Forgotten & Other Stories. It will include over a dozen of my short stories published over the last decade:

She loves beautiful language and has no patience for dull prose, vapid romance, or cheesy dialogue. She prefers complex characterization, intriguing plots, and plenty of action. Favorite authors are Jack Vance, Robin Hobb, Kage Baker, William Gibson, Gene Wolfe, Richard Matheson, and C.S. Lewis.
